Earn Money Online With A Stampede Of Traffic…

What are the 3 major components of an online business?  To earn money online  you need a product, a website, and traffic.  The first two are the easiest and cheapest to come up with.  But what about traffic?  What’s the best way to get it and keep it flowing?

The first thing y0u need to consider is that you don’t want just any traffic.   There are people who are online just killing time, curios about a certain subject.  That’s not the people you want to target.

Then there are the people who are ravenous about a subject.  Whether it’s learning to earn  money online, fishing, knitting, pets, etc.   If they are passionate about  a certain subject and interested in buying products related to that subject, those are the types of visitors you want to attract to your site.

There are a lot of ways to get website  traffic, some of them cost money and have a steep learning curve and some of them are free and easy to learn.

If you are a beginner I would strongly suggest that you stay away from all the Pay Per Click (PPC) and Search Engine Optimization (SEO) courses that claim they’ll help you drive a ton of targeted traffic to your website practically overnight.

PPC is a great way to drive traffic to your website, but, it costs money.  Depending on your niche and how much competition there is it can cost a lot of money.  There is a definite ‘art’ to using PPC effectively.  You will have a steep learning curve and will most likely spend a lot of money with little success in the beginning.

SEO is a great way to get traffic to your website for free.  But like PPC there is a bit of a learning curve and to see results from your efforts takes time.

Now, I’m not saying that you shouldn’t ever use PPC or SEO.  They are great traffic generation methods, but because of the time and money involved in using them I think anyone who is just starting out would be better off spending their time learning free methods of traffic generation such as article marketing.

The free methods are just as good as getting targeted visitors to your site and they are easier to learn.  There is still a learning curve, but it’s not nearly as steep and since the method is free to do you have nothing to lose while you are learning.

So pick out your product, set up your website and then spend at least your first hour of every workday driving traffic to your website.  If you do this consistently over time you will start seeing a nice steady flow of traffic.

Once you have started to earn money online you should invest in a course that will teach you PPC and SEO.  Just hold off until you are actually making money, that way it won’t be so tough in the beginning when you are spending more than you are making.

Picking A Good Niche Market = Your Road To Riches…

Niche.  You hear people talking about it all the time.  But what does it mean and how can a niche help you make money?

The definition for niche is:’ pertaining to or intended for a market niche; having specific appeal: niche advertising’.

For the purposes of your online business think of niche like this: a group of people who share a common concern or a common goal.

And a good niche could be described as : a group of people who share a common concern or a common goal and they are ravenous or desperate for a product or service that will help them with their concerns and goals.

All you need is a ‘hungry’ crowd and something to ‘feed’ them and you’ll make money,  lot’s of it.

So, how do you find your niche?  Well the first place to start is to make a short list of some of the things you know a lot about, or are interested in learning more about.  Once you have a starting point go online to see how many websites there are on that topic.  You can also do a search of forums to get an idea of how many people are interested in that topic.

You should also consider getting the right training on the exact steps to finding hugely profitable niche markets. Finding a good niche isn’t hard, but there are some specific steps you will need to take if you want to  do it right.  After all, you don’t want to waste your valuable time promoting a product that just doesn’t have a very big market, do you?

There are some great free tools that you can use to narrow down a good niche market.  Google is one of the best.  They have a free keyword tool that you can use to identify good keywords, those with relatively high search volume and low competition.

Google trends can be another way to identify hot markets.

Once you’ve done your research and you know that there is a hungry market, now is the time to find a product to sell (or you could develop your own if you want).  Go to Clickbank.com and do a search for products in that niche that you could sell for a commission.

You could also go to Google and type in the name of your niche and use the + sign than the word affiliate.

For example: weight loss + affiliate

This will give you a listing of any product in that niche that has an affiliate program.

To really prosper from a niche do it the right way.  Find your profitable niche first, than worry about finding a product.  If they are hungry enough you will make money, period!

Should You Be Twittering?…

Twitter, Facebook you’ve heard of them.  They are the latest and greatest in online marketing.  Many online ‘gurus’ will tout web 2.0 as the best way to get a ton of traffic to your website.  The question is, does it work?

Yes and no.  It is never a bad idea to make online contacts and get your name out there.  But the majority of the people on these sites aren’t interested in your product or service.  They’re not ‘hungry’.  So you might get some additional traffic but it probably won’t help you build your bottom line that much.

It’s also way to easy to get on these sites and think that you’re ‘working’ while actually you’re just wasting time.  It’s very easy to get sidetracked and waste a lot of time without really accomplishing anything to further your online business.

While I’m not saying you shouldn’t try these methods I am saying that the payoff will probably be quite small and you shouldn’t take too much time away from other traffic generating activities.

So by all means Twitter and tweat, but don’t ignore your blog posts, article marketing and PPC.  Keep it in balance and you’ll be fine!

Is Pay Per Click The Best Bang For Your Buck?…

Many people who are working an online business system are trying to figure out the best way to get traffic for their website.  There are a ton of ways to do it, and one of the most popular is Pay Per Click (PPC).

You may have heard of Google Adwords, this is one example of PPC.  What happens is that you pick out keywords for your topic,  you go to Google open an account and write your ads.  You only have to pay when someone clicks on your ad.

Then you will need to bid on those keywords and that is where things can get a little tricky.  First of all,  it’s  not always  the case that the highest bid wins.  Google will also take other factors into consideration such as the click through rate as well as other indicators of your ads quality.

The higher the quality the lower the bid will be.  You will set a top bid price and start your campaign.

The good thing about PPC for your online business system is that you can get a ton of traffic fairly quickly.  This allows you to test various aspect of your website to make sure it is converting (people are actually buying your product).   That is the up side of PPC.

The downside is that it is very complicated to learn.  You will be paying for your ads and more than likely you won’t be making any money from them, at least to start.  And Google will change their rules frequently.  So if you have a winning campaign today, it might not be doing so well tomorrow.

I believe that there are better methods of generating traffic for  anyone who is just starting out with their online business system.  There are many free methods that will get you a nice, steady stream of targeted traffic.

I would definitely take the time to learn PPC techniques and add them to your internet marketing arsenal.  But first   things first.  Start with the free methods until you are making some money, then re-invest some of that money into educating yourself on a PPC campaign, that way it won’t be so painful if your first couple of campaigns don’t make you any moeny.

To Make Money Online You Need Traffic, And Lots Of It…

But not just any traffic.  You need targeted traffic.  Someone who is actively looking for and ready to buy the product or service you are selling.

Think a hungry crowd and you’re the one with the bread!  That’s the type of people you want to visit your website.  You don’t need as much traffic if the traffic you’re getting is highly targeted.

The best way to get targeted traffic to your website is to gain credibility and become an expert.  The way to do that is to write interesting and informative blog posts, forum comments, and articles.

This is called article marketing and it is extremely effective for driving highly targeted traffic to your website…for free.

Once you’ve written an article you submit it to article directories and it can continue to drive traffic to your website for months, sometimes even years to come!  How cool is that?

There is a little bit of a learning curve to article marketing.   It’s not hard and you can find plenty of information on line about it.  But if you want a concise easy to follow step by step system this ebook will help you out.

The most important element of getting traffic is to focus on one method of generating traffic at a time.  Once you’ve got that method dialed in and working well, start learning a new method (make sure you continue to use the first method while learning the second).

Another important thing to remember is to spend at least the first hour of every work day on traffic generation.  Without traffic you don’t have a business, so don’t get sidetracked with redoing your website or reading your emails.
Those are important things to do and I’m not saying you should ignore them, but you want your most focused attention on the things that will actually make you money.  Traffic will make you money.

Getting targeted traffic doesn’t have to be a big pain in the butt.  It doesn’t have to be expensive.  It does have to be an ongoing job though.  Do that and you will have all the sales you want.

Do You Need Your Own Website To Make Money Affiliate Marketing?

That’s a question I hear a lot.  There is a lot of conflicting information around.  Can you use your replicated affiliate website or do you need your own domain and website?

The short answer is you can use a replicated site, but it’s not the best way.  If you absolutely, positively cannot afford your own domain and hosting (which you could get for about 20 bucks or so), than you could get by with just using your replicated affiliate site. Just get your own domain and website as soon as you possibly can.

There are two main reasons why using your replicated affiliate website isn’t   the best way to go:

1) If you are marketing your affiliate program with article marketing you will have a problem when  you submit an article to many of the popular article directories because  they won’t allow you to use an affiliate URL in your resource box.

2) With hundreds, possibly thousands, of the same replicated websites online you won’t rank on Google.  The search engines hate duplicate copy.  Whereas if you had your own website with unique content you might be able, with a little effort and depending on the competitiveness of your niche, to get a high ranking.

If you are using article marketing to drive traffic to your affiliate website you can go to Squidoo.com and get a free ‘lens’.  This is basically just a blog.  Then you could link your article to your lens and in your lens put links to your affiliate site.

It’s a little more difficult but it is a way around not having your own website.  You could also get a Wordpress blog and do the same thing.

So yes, if you have to you can make money affiliate marketing without a website, but it is a little more time consuming.  As soon as you can afford it you should go to GoDaddy.com and get your own  domain name.  It’ll cost you around $10.  Don’t sign up for the hosting, I think there is a better option for hosting.

Then go to HostGator.com and sign up for a hosting account.  For as little as $10/month you can have unlimited domains.  This is great because eventually you will want to have several different products and several different websites.

Then you just have to transfer your domain to HostGator, which is easy to do and customer support at HostGator will walk you through it.

Don’t let this deter you.  The best thing you can do if you want to start making money online is…start.  Don’t wait until everything is ‘perfect’ because it never will be and you will never improve your financial situation.

Just get started today.  Do the best you can.  You will learn and get better as you go along, and as you grow so will your online income!

Make Money Online While Avoiding The ‘Dangers’…

Making money online is a great, and very realistic, option for anyone who wants more control over their financial life. It is truly possible to make a full time income or even become enormously wealthy online, and you can do it quicker and easier than you might have thought possible.

But you do need to be aware of the two main ‘dangers’ of an online business; unrealistic expectations and the urge to jump from one opportunity to the next. These mistakes are the reason so few people actually become wealthy online.  Many people will invest in a online business system only to leave it sit on a shelf unused.

One of the reasons for this odd phenomenon is the fact that most online business systems are fairly inexpensive to buy, therefore many people don’t fully appreciate the full potential of what they have.  Instead of feeling that this ‘isn’t a real business’  because it was so inexpensive people would be much better off realizing what a tremendous opportunity they have…and all for an investment of less than fifty dollars!

With the internet anyone can make a living online…period.  You will need to learn how to start and grow an online business, but the training is readily available and easy to learn and do.  The most important thing to keep in mind is that no matter what business you choose it will only grow as big as you grow it.

If you don’t work your business you won’t make any money.  I know that sounds obvious, but so many people only put a small amount of effort into their business, don’t learn all the skills they need and don’t have any success.   That’s  when many people will either give up or just jump to another ’sure thing’.

That is the true tragedy.  So many people are missing out on a wonderful opportunity, just because they won’t treat their business like a business they treat it more like a hobby.  When they don’t make the money they want, they will blame the system complaining that it was a scam, and move on to the next ‘opportunity”.

So for anyone who wants to start an online business just remember that you can, and you should.  It doesn’t matter if you want to make a few hundred dollars or a few thousand dollars, it’s really not that hard to make money online.  Just pick one proven, easy to follow system and treat it like the goldmine it is.  Work at it, give it some time, and you could be making more money online than you ever thought you could.

Making Money Online..Easier Than You Thought Possible

The Internet, boy, how did we ever get by without it?  One of the coolest aspects of the internet is an online business.  The possibilities really are endless.  Even after you’ve  cut through all the hype it really is possible to make a lot of money online.

Part of the reason is automation.  You can automate virtually any part of your business.  And what can’t be automated can easily be out sourced.  The bottom line is that if you take a little time to learn basic skills, and/or create a network of people who can do some of the more mundane tasks for you, you can apply those principles to any product or service.  Over and over and over again!

So, you may be thinking, that sounds great but how do I learn the basic skills?  Glad you asked.   I know it can really be tough to pick just one resource for training.  There are a ton of them online.  Many of them are excellent, so which do you choose?  If you are just starting out you want the easiest and least expensive system you can find.

That way you can be making money as you learn instead of going into debt.  Some online systems are quite expensive to do and there can be a pretty steep learning curve.

Once you’ve learned, and impletmented, this system you will have a much better idea of what skill set you need to work on next.  Then find the traiining you need, learn the skills, implement the skills and so on.

I know this sounds an awful lot like work and many people won’t do it.  I often get asked the question: ‘ If it’s so easy to make money online why aren’t more people doing it?’  And I say, because they want something for nothing.  They aren’t willing to invest the time and effort to learn the skills they need to succeed online.

So you need to do a gut check right now.  Before you spend any money on a system you need to make sure you have what it takes.  Are you going to be willing to learn the skills and continually expand and tweak them, that you need to build a profitable online business?  If you can enthusiastically answer ‘yes’ to that question than welcome! I’ll see you at the top!
