What Is The Best Niche Marketing Strategy?

To Be Successful Online, Use This Niche Marketing Strategy

As a successful affiliate niche marketer, I often get asked by people who are just starting out what the best niche marketing strategy is.  There are a lot of different layers to a successful niche market business but one of the most important, and most obvious is you have to pick the right niche.

This may sound like a no brainer but you’d be surprised at how many people just pick out some products that they like or that they use and try to build a business around that product. This is a common mistake that many new affiliate marketers make.

You Need To Find The Right Market First…

Instead what you should do is find a good niche market and then find a
product to sell to them. In a nutshell a niche market is a small section of a market.  It can be something kind of obscure like bird watching or bug collecting or it could be something more common such as weight loss or making money online.

The point is that when you pick your market you have to have a tight focus.  If you were doing a bug collecting niche website that may be tightly focused enough to make money with, but if you were trying to do weight loss you would need to focus in on a smaller segment of that market otherwise the competition would be so fierce that it would be hard for you to get a foot hold.

Instead of focusing on weight loss you could narrow it down to something like weight loss for women over 40. Or weight loss for teenage girls.  You get the idea.  The more focused your niche website is, the better chance you’ll have of being successful which is the best niche marketing strategy to have.

But I Won’t Get As Much Traffic…

Now some people will say that if your focus is too tight you won’t get as much traffic and that is true.  But if your focus is too broad you will either find that there is too much competition for you to get a high page rank in the search engines, or that you simply aren’t focused enough to know what your website visitors really want.

With the proper niche market strategy you will learn all the tricks to find a good niche market, one that has enough interest for you to make a lot of money but in a market that isn’t so saturated that you have a tough time competing.

Ok, I’ve Found My Niche, Now What?

Once you’ve found the perfect niche market the next step in your niche
marketing strategy is to find the best way to reach that market and get them to visit your website and sign up to your email list and / or buy something.  To do this you’ll need to build a keyword list.

Getting a keyword list together is quite easy. There are free tools you can use such as the Google Adwords Keyword tool. You want at least 20 keywords that have good search volume but not a lot of competition. Check out this post for a more in depth method of doing keyword research.

So if you want a solid niche marketing strategy to follow just pick your hungry crowd (your niche market) first then find a product to sell to them, then drive as much qualified traffic as you can to your website for free.  That is a good foundation on which to start.
