I’m not spilling any secrets when I tell you that one of your main jobs as an online business owner is to get and keep the traffic flowing.
But so many people get confused. How to you know which method to use? How can you track your results so you know what works and what doesn’t work? How much will it cost?
When it comes to getting traffic it can be really easy to get ovewhelmed and just give up. I feel the same way. I am always looking for innovative ways of getting more traffic to my sites.
When I came across a product called “The Traffic Dashboard” I was skeptical. I had actually bought a product with the same name (but made by a different person – totally different product) that I wasn’t happy with.
But, I decided that it only cost $39 so what did I have to lose? I purchased the Traffic Dashboard and have to say that I’m very glad that I did. For a little bit of money I got one of the most comprehensive traffic “courses” that I have every seen before.
The Traffic Dashboard will show you 20 different traffic sources. Some of them are free, some cost a little but you will never have to pay a lot of use any of the methods. As a matter of fact you can pick and choose which methods you want to use.
Each methods comes complete with a video tutorial, a PDF transpcript and a “cheat sheet”. Even if you are a totaly beginner you can easily learn these methods and put them to work for you right now.

Building A Home Based Internet Business The “Easy” Way…
I really hate it when one of my readers contacts me and is ready to give up on their dream of creating financial freedom for them and their family. They want to build a profitable home based internet business but they are just about ready to throw in the towel.
The truly sad thing is that the only reason they are discouraged is because they fell for a common trap online; they fell for the hype, b.s. and false promises.
When nothing delivers the way it was promised, they think the whole thing is impossible so they give up.
Sad. And untrue.
You see, those “promises” of easy and instant wealth were lies. Believing them is what sidetracked their success – nothing else.
They have spent so much time chasing an impossible dream that they neglected the very real dream of building a profitable home based internet business.
So, I tell them to get back on track, here are some tips I give my readers when they are at the end of their rope, maybe this can help you too:
1. Avoid distractions. Stop reading those emails promising something for nothing. They are lies (or at the minimum huge exaggerations) and they will do nothing more than suck your energy and your bank account dry.
2. Refocus yourself. Don’t approach your business as a “temporary” thing. Instead focus on building your business day by day. Concentrate on consistency and not a time frame. Do the tasks that need to be done day in and day out and just focus on those for now.
If you do, eventually you will “lift your head up” and see some results. It will be kind of surprising the first time you get that commission check or the first time you get your first 3,000 visitors in one month.
3. Never be afraid to ask for help. Many of us love the idea of helping others succeed online and not just make a quick buck.
The truly smart online business owners know that to still be in business a year or ten years from now they need to offer value and not just go for the quick buck.
It won’t be quick and it won’t always be easy, but building a successful home based internet business doesn’t have to take years or cost a ton of money as long as you stay away from the hype and false promises.
Dedicate yourself to learning the skills and doing what needs to be done day in and day out instead of setting an unrealistic time frame. Allow your business all the time it needs to grow and one day you will start to see results!
How Much Is A Guarantte Really Worth?
To Make Money Online All You Need Is A Guarantee… Right?
I was just looking through my email and as usual I have a ton of emails from people who want to sell me something. Before I started making a full time living online I would jump at all the “sure things” and guarantees… but not anymore.
Today, I largely ignore most of the inbox emails that are “guaranteeing” me that I will make thousands of dollars or get thousands of subscribers to my list with no knowledge or time.
But why would I ignore all these wonderful offers? Simple, most of them don’t come close to working the way they are supposed to. I know it and you know it – if you have been online for even a short time.
Stop Wasting Money…
I used to spend a lot of money until I realized that once you actually make the purchase the vendor starts backing off of his guarantee, have you noticed that too?
While you are reading the sales page or watching the video it’s all “guarantees” and “proof” but once you actually fork over your money and start going through the tutorials to learn the system do you notice that there is a lot more of “you may be able to do this” or “within 90 days you can do this”.
It’s a total turn around form the promises made in the sales letter. Kind of makes you mad, doesn’t t it?
Keep These Things In Mind…
Want to know how you can prevent being taken and buying products that really don’t work for you or that you really don’t need? It’s really simple, just ask yourself these questions:
1. Will the product or service teach you a new skill or give you additional knowledge with a skill you already have?
Of course, this is only after you already know the basics about your online business. If you are just beginning you should take a course that will show you how to get started, learn the basic skills and then you can go from there.
There is a lot you can learn about building your online business. The more you learn, the bigger you can grow your business.
Investing in training should be an ongoing process throughout your career. Hopefully, since you love what you do, this process will be fun for you and not a chore.
2. Does the product or service provide you with assistance so you can automate some aspect of your business?
There are a lot of components to an online business and some of them can get a little repetitive and tedious, such as traffic generation.
Spend Money On These Things Only…
Fortunately there are a lot of products and services available to you that will allow you to either automate or outsource some of these tedious tasks so you can focus on those things that only you can do.
Investing in these types of resources can be a great investment in your business.
But, other than these two things, keep your wallet and credit cards tucked safely away. You should not go broke trying to build your online business.
We all know that most of the over the top promises of instant wealth are lies. Don’t buy into it. Just use the tips above so you can decide if a product or service will help you or just help the vendor who is selling it.

One of the biggest concerns of anyone who has an online business is how to get web traffic. This can be, to some extent, and ongoing issue. I mean it’s not rocket science, if we don’t have a steady stream of customers we won’t have a business. So, how to you get this traffic? Is there really some secret that will teach you how to get web traffic and if so where do you get it?
I am always on the lookout for great ways to get more traffic. And, when I find something that I think will show me how to get web traffic, I’ll grab it up!

I have actually bought a product with a similar name a few months ago and found it slightly disappointing, so I was skeptical.

This is like a blueprint that will show you how to get your traffic building off to a fast start, it’s very helpful for anyone who is struggling to get more traffic to their site and who wants to do it quickly.
I highly recommend you check this product out. you will learn how to get web traffic from many sources. Most of the sources are free and the methods that do cost money are pretty inexpensive to use.

Internet Marketing Training – Why You Need It
Years ago I was taking a martial arts class. The instructor was one of those people who is extremely arrogant and you can just tell they really don’t want to be dealing with you. Every time I went through my form he would say “watch your feet”.
That’s it, no explanation, nothing.
Personally, I thought my feet were just fine, not so sure what I was supposed to be watching them do!
The reason I told you this story is that the biggest problem with this class and the “instructions” that I got is that it was very incomplete.
Today you get that a lot when you buy a internet marketing “course”. Many times you will get a bunch a videos and a pat on the head, the online equivalent of “watch your feet”.
Starting an online business is cheaper, quicker and easier than any other type of business (I should know, I used to own and offline business). But it still takes time and work.
And even though the skills you will need to learn to get started are all pretty easy on their own, it can get confusing when you are faced with learning so many new things at once.
That is why it is so important to have a mentor or coach to help answer those questions when you get a little stuck or a little overwhelmed.
It’s also nice to have someone you can bounce ideas off or just vent to when you get frustrated.
When I first started out online I tried to go it alone too.
I did it for two reasons: one, I was broke and couldn’t afford any coaching, and two, I was afraid I would look stupid.
I was afraid that these people would laugh at me or tell me to “watch my feet”.
I struggled for around 2 years to make any real money online.
It started to turn around when I got some one on one training.
I had always been ambitious and I worked hard at building my business but suddenly I was thinking like and internet marketer!
And the best part was that I stopped chasing all the stupid, over the top promises and stopped wasting my time and money on the latest sure thing, push button system.
Every time I would fall for some “hypey” sales pitch and buy a new product it cost me not only money but time. I was suddenly off doing the “new” system and not working on growing my business.
After a few days, or weeks, when I realized that the “new” system wasn’t going to make me rich in a few weeks, I went back to building my business .
But those few weeks of momentum were lost forever.
If you do the same thing I did and you do it for an extended period of time, you will lose a lot of momentum and time (not to mention money) too.
So, to avoid this syndrome, find a coach who will guide you through the process.
Someone who you can communicate with as often as you need help, someone who will genuinely help you and answer your questions.
Stay away from the “watch your feet” crew who only want to sell you some videos and be done with you.

Your Internet Marketing Business Easier
Here Is What You Need To Know For Your Internet Marketing Business
You know, I have several blogs about making money online or starting a home business and one recurring theme through all of them is the importance of starting your internet marketing business off on the right foot.
I used to own a restaurant bar and I can tell you that having an online business is soooo much easier and less expensive. But I think that this is where people get messed up. They think it will be easy or free or fast and if you are comparing online businesses to offline businesses it is much cheaper, quicker and easier, but it still takes time.
If you don’t start your internet marketing business off with the right mindset, you will almost be guaranteed to fail. Sorry, not to be mean, but it is the truth. Start off with your mind in the right place and you will be almost guaranteed to succeed.
You have probably heard the saying “work smarter, not harder”. That is a great thing to keep in mind as you start your internet marketing business, there are a lot of great tools (software, ebooks, courses) that can help you learn more skills and automate a lot of your business, but there is no such thing as a “do it all for you push button system”.
As long as you don’t expect to become an overnight success with no time or effort you should be fine. If you need to make your rent payment in two weeks and you think that you can start and grow a business big enough to do that in two weeks you will almost be guaranteed to be disappointed. Starting your business with such unrealistic expectations is the best way I know of to be disappointed.
But, if you start your business with the idea that building a business will take time and work and that software and ebooks are just tools to enhance your business or to help you learn more, you will have a much, much better chance of succeeding.

3 Tips For Choosing The Right Affiliate Marketing Training
I have seen so many people, myself included, stumble around online for months or years trying to figure this whole “affiliate marketing thing” out. I spent so much more time and money than I needed to because I didn’t want to spend the money to get training. Instead I bought an ebook here or a software program there. By the time I was done, 2 years and thousands of dollars were gone. If I had been smart I would have gotten some affiliate marketing training from the start. In the long run I would have saved time, money and a little bit of my sanity.
I recommend anyone who is just getting started find some good affiliate marketing training so they don’t waste time making mistakes and spending a lot of money. Many people can actually save money by just investing in training first. But, not all training is good or good for you. You need to find the best training program for you:
1. What is your budget? Not only will you need to spend money on the training you will need a little left over to actually start your business. Don’t spend it all on the training and expect to get it all back in a hurry. If you get training you should be able to get your money back tenfold, but it will take time. Don’t spend the rent money.
2. Figure out the best way you learn and then find a training program that fits that. If you prefer to be left on your own, you probably don’t want an affiliate marketing training program that offers one on one help. Find a memberhsip site that has videos that you go through on your own.
If you prefer to have your very own mentor to help you and answer questions instead of just sitting you in front of a bunch of videos and leaving you on your own, find a training program that is more of a “classroom” setting and that will provide you with one on one help.
3. If the affiliate marketing training program you are looking at promises you that you will make a certain amount of money in a certain amount of time… run… fast. The truth is that no matter how great any program our mentor might be or how much success they have had, they can’t guarantee your success. They don’t know you or anything about you. They don’t know if you will go through the course, they don’t know if you will put the lessons into action. Since they don’t know what you are going to do, they can’t promise you that you will make any money at all, let alone promise a certain amount.
There is money to be made online, thousands are making millions every year. If you want to join this elite group don’t waste time on buying endless streams of $37 ebooks and software products. Invest in yourself and your future and learn affiliate marketing the right way, right from the start.

I’ve been online for several years now and in that time I’ve learned a lot. Even so, I know that no one could ever learn every little thing about the internet.

But, what happens if the thing you love isn’t something that people will actually spend money on? How do you know?
3. You need to learn multiple ways to drive traffic to your website.
There are tons of methods online that you can use to drive traffic to your webiste. It’s best to learn one method, get good at it and then learn another method. Do that until you have at least 3 unique methods of getting traffic to your website.

These are the basics, obviously there is a lot to be learned in all of these steps. Taking a little time to learn how to make money affiliate marketing can be the best way to start your online business off on the right foot, just don’t expect to know everything or wait to get started until you know everything. Suffering From “Guru” Overload Yet? Make Money Online Without Making Others Rich
Wow, I don’t know about you but there are days when I just get bombarded with offers for the latest and greatest affiliate marketing product all promising to help me make money online. Each of them seems to try to out scream the others in convincing me, that yes, there is a lot of hype and crap online but their product isn’t part of it.
As an affiliate marketer, especially those of you who are just starting out and not really sure which way to turn, this type of offer can be irresistible. The problem is that if you don’t learn to resist most of them, you will go broke.
I know what I’m talking about because when I first started out I was buying every “sure thing” program and product I could get my hands on. I spent a ton of money but didn’t make any. I hope that you can learn from my mistake and not follow in my footsteps. Instead follow this advice:
1. With so many programs out there that claim they can teach you how to become a successful affiliate marketer you should spend a little time in forums and try to get unbiased information on what product is the best. Of course, even here you have to be careful about not getting “hyped”. Make sure that the information you get isn’t just a sales pitch.
2. Once you’ve found a great place to learn the basics of becoming an affiliate marketer, now get to work. Even the best programs can get a little “hypey” on their sales pages so take some of what you hear with a grain a salt. Even if the sales letter hints that you can make a full time income in a short period of time, don’t fall for it. Some people will make a lot of money very quickly, but most will not. Most will need time to figure it out and put it all together.
Once you’ve found the place that can teach you what you need to know, just do it. Day in, day out. Work your business like a business and don’t get sidetracked after a couple of weeks when it just seems like nothing is happening, it takes time.
Many times you are making progress but it is behind the scenes so you are not aware of it. That’s the sad part, many people jump ship and rush out to find another sure thing right at the point where they would start to see progress. Find a good one, learn all you can and stay with it.
Don’t get overwhelmed or sidetracked by all the emails you get daily. Many of these programs will work just fine while others are a little more iffy. Just find a place, learn all you can, then put that knowledge to work on a consistent basis. If you expect something for nothing that is exactly what you will get… nothing.
Article Marketing And Duplicate Content, What You Need To Know
Avoid Duplicate Content With Your Article Marketing
You hear a lot online about duplicate content and much of what you hear would have you believe that you may lose a limb if you’re found to have any. The truth is that the “penalty” you may pay if you have duplicate content is just that you won’t get a good ranking, or you won’t get ranked at all.
The search engines are always looking for new and fresh content. When you submit the same article in multiple places the search engines will see only one of them as “unique” and all the other articles will be pushed to the bottom of the results pages.
What that means for you is that if you put the same article on your website or blog and then submit it to other sites, such as article directories, what could happen is that the article you submitted could get noticed first, then that version would be considered the original and get the ranking while the version you put on your blog or website is considered the duplicate and ends up in no mans land.
That is not what you want to happen since your website won’t get the high ranking and additional traffic you were hoping to get by adding more content and submitting articles.
On the other hand, if you submit one version to your website or blog and then rewrite other copies to be submitted elsewhere you have the chance of getting all versions of the articles ranked. That means that instead of just one article or blog post getting noticed and getting a good rank, you could have several getting ranked.
