Bribes Aren’t Always Bad…Use A Bribe, Build A List

I talk alot about the need to build a list if you want a huge and virtually autopilot online business.  Build your list once and it’s like having your own ATM.  But, you may be wondering, how do I build a list.  How do I get people to sign up for my newsletter?  That’s easy, you bribe them!

Now I’m only talking about bribing them in a ethical way.  You offer them something that will be of value to them in exchange for them signing up to your list (which will also offer ongoing value to them).

One of the best bribes you can give is a e-book or e-course related to your niche.  Fill it with enormously useful and accurate information,  truly take the time to make your bribe something that offers real value.

If you’re not quite sure where to start go to a forum related to your niche.  Find out what people are asking about, what types of information they need.

Then just put that information together in an e- book or a 5 – 7 lesson e-course.  Offer that to them when they sign up for your list.  Than you can send out regular follow up emails that expand on what you covered in your e-course or e-book.

Make sure you sign up with a reputable auto- responder services such as Aweber.  This way when they sign up they agree to receive emails from you which is called opting-in and you won’t be  spamming anyone.

Write your e-course or e-book, upload it to your auto-responder service so that it goes out automatically when someone signs up and add other emails along the way.  Don’t worry if this sounds hard, it’s not, as a matter of fact Aweber has plenty of trained representatives that can help you out.

So to build a truly large and profitable online business don’t skip this very easy yet very important step.  Build your list of opt-in subscribers by bribing them with something that can truly help them.  If you help them achieve their goals they will help you achieve yours.  Truly a win/win!


Let Your Personality Shine If You Want To Earn Money Online…

We all know that the Internet can be kind of cold.  We also know that to be successful in business you need to have people trust you.  One of the best ways to do that is to let them get to know you.

For the most part your internet business isn’t real personal. You don’t usually have any real one on one contact with the people on your list.  It’s not like you call them all on the phone once a week.    So how do you let people know who you are and show them that they can trust you?

Well the most common way you communicate with them is through your copy.   Whether it’s emails, a sales page, a blog post, etc.   It is your copy that is letting people get to know you.

The problem is that so many people online seem to want to keep themselves ‘hidden’.   It’s like they’re afraid to let too much of their personality show.  But that’s a mistake.

To build rapport you have to open up a little and let people get to know you.  You don’t want them to think of you only as some obscure sales person.  You want them to know you.

So the next time you sit down to write an article, an email or some sales page, don’t forget to let your personality show through.  Not only will that make whatever you’re writing more interesting, it will also allow people to get to know, and hopefully like, the real you.
