Website Hosting Account – How To Choose

Website Hosting Account – What To Look For

web hosting account

On my blog I talk a lot about the importance of getting your
own domain name and website hosting account. What I want to go
over today, are what traits you should look for before you
choose a specific hosting company.

There are many options out there of website hosting companies,
and like everything else, some are better (or at least better
for you) than others.

What Should You Look For In Website Hosting Account?

Most people will likely look at price first, but on my list I
put it towards the end. I mean, what good does it do you to
get a good price if you aren’t really getting what you need?

Go over these points to choose the best fit for you and your
growing business:

1. How good is the customer service with the website hosting account? Especially if you are new to internet marketing, you will most likely have questions… a lot of questions.
If the hosting company doesn’t have someone to talk to 24/7 if you have a problem, I personally would keep looking.

2. Most affiliates will eventually have multiple sites online
so you want a hosting account that will allow you to add as
many domains as you want.

It’s much easier than having to sign up for a new hosting
account every-time you spot a hot opportunity and try to put up
a new site.

3. Make sure you will have access to your own control panel
(c-panel) so that you can quickly and easily do what ever you
need to do with your site.

On your c-panel, you can check the traffic on your various
sites, add an email account, delete a site, or install a new
site. All with just a few clicks of the mouse and you don’t
need any type of technical skills or knowledge.

4. You want to make sure you won’t be charged extra for extra
bandwidth. As your business, and the number of sites you have,
grows, so will your bandwidth needs. You want to find a
hosting account that won’t penalize you for your growth.

Get a plan that has unlimited bandwidth so as your business
grows your bandwidth can grow along with it.

5. And last, price. This can actually go both ways. Unlike
most things where people usually gravitate towards the
absolute cheapest option.

But  many newbies make the mistake of thinking they need to pony  up big bucks for
dedicated servers when they really did not need to.

Great, But How Much Will It Cost?

Few people who are just starting out have a big budget, and
you don’t need to. You can get all your hosting needs met with
a shared server and cut your costs dramatically.

The nice thing is that there is a lot of competition around
when it comes to hosting accounts. You can keep these criteria
in mind as you find one to use for your business.

You can get shared hosting accounts for just a few dollars a month “all the way up to” 9.99 a month. It’s very cheap.

The Website Hosting Account I Use – And Why

I have been using Host Gator hosting web hosting account for my hosting account since I started my online business. During that time, especially in the start, I had a lot of questions and whenever I called them (no matter what day or time) I always got someone to talk to.

They were always polite and took time to answer all my questions, and they never made me feel dumb, either. I pay $9.95 a month for unlimited domains and that is the most you will need too – at least to start off.

There has never been a time that I know of when my site was down due to issues with Host Gator. The c-panel is easy to use and very helpful and the Fantastico Deluxe (a push button system to set up a WordPress blog on your domain name) if incredibly easy to use.
